Sustainable transport strategy
Vehicle access to the site is planned from the existing roundabout on the A446 which has been carefully assessed as being a safe and suitable access. This location provides quick and direct links to Junction 4 of the M6 and the M42 via the A446. Importantly there will be no vehicular access from Packington Lane, meaning HGVs will not be routed through residential areas.
The site is situated in an accessible location which is within close proximity to existing bus stops situated on Coventry Road providing access to a frequent bus service (X13) from Birmingham City Centre to Chelmsley Wood via Bromford Estate, Castle Bromwich, Water Orton and Coleshill.
The site is also capable of securing pedestrian and cycle access to surrounding residential areas.
